Anderson Mill Homes

The Northwest neighborhood of Anderson Mills has a rich history dating back beyond the civil war, when Thomas Anderson moved from Virginia to Texas and opened a mill to make gunpowder for the confederate army. After the war the mill was converted into a gristmill, and in the early twentieth century became the site of many lovely homes which are still in existence today.
