My Wife is My Hero - Enough Said

I'm not sure exactly what happened this time around, but this pregnancy seems to have gone by much faster than my wife's previous ones.  Of course, Pam would probably beg to differ with me on that point, since she is the one feeling really tired, especially trying to take care of our other three kids and homeschool at the same time.

Please avert your eyes for a minute or so while I speak privately to my wife.  Thanks.

Pam - You are amazing to me.  Having watched you give birth three times without ANY medication, I can confidently state that you are probably tougher than I am, too.  :)  I love you even more than I did when we were first married, and watching you grow into a super-mom has been really cool for me to watch.  Thank you so much for sacrificing your career and your second degree (for now) to stay at home and care for our children, and to provide their education as well.  I joke around about you being the "smart one in our family", but truthfully, I don't think I know anyone more intelligent than you.  After all, look who you chose to marry!  Kidding.

Thank you for believing in me and supporting me throughout my real estate career.  The books you gave me for Christmas told me how much you also really believe in my abilities as a writer, and I will never forget that gesture.

Where did the last 18 years go?  It seems like we were just dating not that long ago.  I can't imagine ever having married anyone else.  I love you so much!

Alright - you can look again.

For those of you keeping score at home, I did just mention that my wife has endured natural childbirth three times - no epidural, no drugs, not a thing.  Impressive?  Yes.  It's even more impressive when you realize that our smallest baby was 8-1.  The others were 9-9 and 9-6!

We are down to single digit weeks left until our due date, which is about 9 weeks away now.  That's only 63 days, people!  I know that the remaining weeks will fly by, and soon I hope to be sharing lots of new baby pictures right here.

Thank you to those of you who have been checking on Pam and praying for us.  She has not felt sick very much at all for several months now, which is a definite change and improvement from the past pregnancies.

As I have shared here before, we are having another little girl, and we haven't completely settled on the name or middle name yet.  I really just wanted to write a quick post to update my friends who have been asking via email and Twitter about how things are progressing.  So far, so good!

I guess I should say that I'm sorry for all the mushy stuff up above.  However, if you have been reading my blog for very long at all, you know that mushy stuff doesn't scare me.
