Our Family Trip to the Houston Downtown Aquarium (with photos)

I am finally getting around to posting more of the pictures from our recent trip to Houston.  This was our day at the city aquarium downtown.  Following last night's hurricane which blasted the area there, I sincerely hope that this facility was unharmed, and I hope the staff and animals are safe, too.  Now, on to the fun stuff!

I wouldn't honestly be surprised if at least one of my kids ends up being a marine biologist.  They ALWAYS ask to go to the city aquarium when we travel out of Austin, and this recent trip was no different.

Can you tell that Aleah likes fish?  Interestingly, I have many photos of myself as a kid doing the same thing with my mouth during soccer games or other times when I was intensely concentrating on something.

This picture was taken after we decided to imprison our daughters in a small glass bubble under the "touch me" tank with sharks and sting rays, much like General Zod and his henchmen in "Superman 2".  Actually, it is pretty cool to check things out from underneath.  I had to look, too!

Before you exit the aquarium, they have two rare (and somewhat random) white tigers on display.  In a display of rampant tourism, we opted for a family photo under the "attacking" tiger's watchful gaze.  Unfortunately, Aleah was obscured by me and Brandon, so you only get a small glimpse of her hair in this shot:
