Austin Real Estate

Yesterday, I met some friends at Chipotle in the La Frontera Shopping Center in Round Rock (NW Corner of 45 and I-35).  I had never tried it before, but I was very pleased to find out about this new option for lunch in the area.  Well, I guess it's not new, but it's new for me. 

Located next to Firebowl Cafe (a favorite of mine) and Maggie Moo's Ice Cream, Chipotle's is just behind the traffic circle at La Frontera. 

They have a few options that can be customized for 1000's of potential meals, including the burrito, taco, fajita taco, burrito bowl, and salad.  I opted for the burrito bowl, which I had with rice, black beans, spicy shredded beef, guacamole, hot sauce, and romaine lettuce.  My friends suggested that I try it in a taco shell, and it was simply delicious.  In fact, I probably shouldn't write this right now, since I haven't yet had lunch.  MMMM....lunch.  Hungry now.  Back in a bit.

Thanks for waiting here while I grabbed something to eat from the kitchen downstairs.  Where were we?  Oh, yes, Chipotle's. 

The food was inexpensive and the food we had was served Subway-style (i.e. added while you watch and select your ingredients).  The drinks are self-serve, which I have found that I prefer lately because it eliminates the need for tipping during lunch. 

I think the cost for all three of us was about $25 or so.  Overall, I can't wait to return, since it is minutes from my home and in an area that I was already frequenting.  I think the name had kept me away, if I'm being honest, because it sounded like just another Mexican restaurant, which we have in abundance here in the Austin area.

I also noticed from their website that they have a LOT of locations across the country, which I hadn't realized before.  As a father of three small children, we don't get the opportunity to travel very much, I suppose.
