Test Driving the Buick Enclave this Week thanks to GM!

Last year, I was contacted by Chevy/GM around the time that SXSW was in Austin.  They offered to give me two VIP stageside tickets to see Cheap Trick play here in town.  It turned out to be one of the best and most memorable concerts that my wife and I have seen.

This month, they asked if I would be interested in test-driving a Buick Enclave (luxury SUV crossover) for one week.  Yesterday, they delivered it to my house around 1:30pm.  They also included a Kodak HD video camera for me to document my experiences, and a waiver stating that the footage can be used for promotional purposes.  Cool!

I actually have a relatively new vehicle that we purchased this past summer, both for its size and ability to tow our travel trailer, so I'm not in the market right now.  However, I have friends who are, and the offer was made for me to drive the vehicle largely because of my online audience of subscribers/followers/friends, so it's a huge compliment to me, and I'm honored to have the opportunity.

Thus far, I must admit that the car is very cool indeed, with a few features that I didn't even know existed yet.  The MSRP is $49,000, according to the documentation they provided.  It feels luxurious and utterly new, and I would be happy to meet any clients or friends while driving it.  Two friends rode with me to lunch today, and they were suitably impressed by the Enclave.

I'll be blogging more about my experiences, and sharing some of the videos I shoot as well.  Should be a fun week!
