Today is my 18th Wedding Anniversary!

I just wanted to write a quick post about my anniversary, since we have plans in a couple of hours to go out "on the town".  My wife's sister is watching our kiddos tonight so that we can enjoy dinner and perhaps a movie.

My wife Pam and I met on the dance floor of an Austin nightclub almost 20 years ago, and we were married 18 years ago today.  It's hard to believe that this chance meeting resulted in finding the love of my life.  It's also hard to fathom that this much time has already passed.  I always joke that she picked me up, which is sort of true, since she spoke to me first.  :)  Who could have guessed that we would end up having four children together?

I remain very happy and content, and very much in love with Pam.  I feel blessed far beyond what I deserve, as I've said before.

My dad told me once that he thought I was brilliant for arranging my anniversary date in this manner.  Despite the fact that I love being thought of as brilliant, I had to ask him what he meant.  Honestly, I hadn't noticed until he pointed it out to me, but it does make it easy to remember (1/2/93 = 1-2-3, get it?).  I guess I'm glad that HE was smart enough to notice that pattern.

I'm off to research movies now.  I'm leaning toward seeing "Little Fockers".

Enjoy your day.  I will!
