I have been interacting a lot on Twitter over the past few months, and I've made some cool friends over there. One of my friends heard that we were having a baby, and it turns out that she owns a company called Happy Panda Baby, which specializes in clothing and gifts for bigger babies. Since all three of our babies have been big so far, I have little doubt that our fourth will be as well.
One night, my friend Pamela Kramer (@PMKU) suddenly said, "You need a Happy Panda diaper cake!".
Um....what?
I hadn't seen a diaper cake before, but I was intrigued. She told me to go to her site and pick one out. Since I am all about free stuff, especially the free stuff that scores brownie points with my pregnant wife, I complied quickly.
I received this via UPS a few days ago:
According to the Happy Panda website (www.happypandababy.com), it includes:
· 8" Cuddlekins Panda Bear
· Happy Panda (0-3m) tagless gift set w/ Panda Face Design - hat, lap t and pants
· Johnson's baby lotion, baby powder, baby wash, baby shampoo, and soothing naturals
· Desitin diaper rash cream
· 2 Baby pacifiers and 4 Germ X packets
• 70-75 Pampers Swaddlers - size 1-2
Needless to say, this was very well-received at our home. The kids even enjoy the "cake" and joking about eating it, etc. As the recipient, I now know that this would make a terrific and thoughtful gift for clients, family or friends who are expecting.
I just wanted to share this idea and cool gesture with my friends. Big thanks to @PMKU! If you are on Twitter, you owe it to yourself to follow her - she's very cool!
