Baby Update - Thanks for your prayers!

I wanted to write a brief post to thank all of you who have been praying for my wife, who was very sick from the pregnancy.  She is feeling a good deal better now, although she went through a really bad cold and stiff neck a couple of weeks ago.  Overall, this is the earliest that she has felt "better" from all four of our pregnancies. 

We called to schedule our 20-week ultrasound today, and we will find out the gender of our newest addition when we have that.  We are waiting to hear back about the specific date (I hope it's before Thanksgiving).  You can be sure that I will post about it that day or the day after.

Thank you for your emails and thoughtful comments lately.  It really means a lot to me.

I also wanted to share something super-cool with my friends here:

I felt the baby moving for the first time over the weekend! 

I think it was Saturday, which would have been exactly 19 weeks. 

It was like a hard twitch, and I felt it about five different times.  Apparently, this is a strong kid! I think this might be the earliest that I can remember feeling the baby move myself, although I know that Pam has been feeling it for weeks.

Needless to say, we are very thankful, and we continue to pray for a healthy baby and a smooth delivery when the time comes.  As I mentioned before, our due date is April 11th.
