I Hit 200,000 Points Today - Time to Party!

Several people had mentioned recently that they noticed I was approaching the 200,000 point threshold, and they asked me to "invite them to the party" when it happened.

Please consider this an open invitation to the entire ActiveRain community.

I went to bed last night with 199,998 points, and I awoke this morning at 200,125.

I have been here actively since August 4^th, 2007, so it took me eight months and six days to hit this particular milestone.

I remember seeing some of the crazy-high point totals here in Texas when I started. Some people even had over 100,000 points! Inconceivable! I remember thinking in December when I hit the six-figure mark that it would take a long time to get to this level. I guess time flies when you're having fun (points do, too).

Along the way, I have picked up 200 associates and 509 subscribers. I still find it interesting that some people choose to associate with me, but not subscribe, and vice versa. I am deeply grateful to those of you who are one or the other for me, or both.

I have made some deep and hopefully lasting friendships during my tenure at ActiveRain, along with many referrals and leads. I never could have fathomed that something free could be so instrumental to my business and also serve as a fun social outlet.

I would like to invite anyone reading this to post your favorite celebration song in the comments below. Don't feel obligated. Only do it if you feel like it. You can pretty much write whatever you like. Believe me, I am friends with Paul Slaybaugh.
