"Family Reunion" - New Weekly Recap of Family Ties AR Group - First Edition

As many of you may already be aware,  Adam Waldman and I started a new Active Rain group last month called Family Ties.  If you are new to Active Rain, or if you missed the announcement in September, you should consider coming by to take a look.  Adam and I were speaking earlier about the possibility of having a weekly recap for the group, which is actually a spinoff of Active Rain Addicts.  Adam suggested the name "Family Reunion" for the recap, which I thought was genius, so here we go.  This is the first such recap.

If you haven't joined or even visited the group yet, here is the description that I wrote there to give you some idea of what we are all about:

First question: Is this a fan club for the 80's sitcom? No. I just wanted to think of something memorable for this group. This is meant to be a fun place to escape the daily drama of the real estate industry. Please feel free to post any family stories or lessons here. We envision this as a great place to share funny stories about kids, marriage, siblings, parenting, or anything family-related. Posts may relate business to family life, or they may be about striking a healthy balance between career and life. Welcome to Family Ties!

The group was started 26 days ago, and we currently have 72 members and 210 posts there.  We are #14 already on the Most Active Groups list!  Not too shabby!

Here is a selection of my favorite posts to appear within the group over the past week or so (including one of my own):

Bubbles, Bouncers and Snowcones ... Oh My! - by Paul Slaybaugh

Miscommunication by Sarah Cooper

One of the Best Parts of Being a REALTOR® - My Kid's Sports  - by Steve Scheer

What Truly Lies Within a Man's Heart?  by Andrew Trevino

Life is like a box of...HEY!!!...THAT'S NOT CHOCOLATE!!! by Elizabeth Nieves

Who Is Your Active Rain Emergency Contact Person? by Adam Waldman (about our AR family)

The ER Nurse and the Convenience Store Employee - Where do you see yourself? by Jason Crouch

So come on over and check it out!  We're like one big happy family in this great group!  If you aren't visiting this group, I can assure you are missing out on some terrific writing.  I look forward to seeing you there.  Let me know if you have any questions.
