Dallas Cowboys - excited about the new season

Well, the Cowboys defeated the Colts and the Broncos in their two preseason games thus far, and (as with every other year) this year we fans have high hopes for their season.  We are long overdue for a Super Bowl run, or even a post-season victory.  Although the preseason doesn't mean much, it is exciting to see them winning against good teams.  They held the Broncos to just 35 yards rushing and racked up an impressive 191 themselves.  I didn't get a chance to see the game because: 1. We were on vacation, and 2. I usually don't watch the preseason because it doesn't count.

Having attended their training camp twice this year, I can say first hand that they look sharp.  I can't wait for September 9th, which is their first "real" game, which is against the Giants.

My eight-year old son receives some stuff in the mail today from the "Rowdy Rookies", which is the kid's fan club.  We joined when I took him to their camp a few weeks ago.  He is always interested in watching some of it with me, but he has yet to see a whole game (simply too long for him).  Maybe this year he will watch more.  I actually have ambivalent feelings about the Cowboys' mascot - the kids seem to love him, but I miss Crazy Ray, which was the Cowboys unofficial mascot who passed away not too long ago.  Oh well, no reason to get overly sentimental with this post.

Go Cowboys!
